Innovation, Industry Leaders and Perth's IT CIO Community at L7's VCE Breakfast

13-Jul 2010

L7 Solutions recently hosted a breakfast for Perth’s IT CIO community on the new Virtual Computing Environment (VCE). Formulated by industry leaders Cisco, EMC and VMware, VCE is an unprecedented coalition to accelerate virtualisation and private cloud infrastructures.

Virtualisation has been well accepted as a valuable solution for organisations to consolidate servers, improve business flexibility and recoverability, and ultimately save on costs. VCE integrates virtualisation, with Cisco servers/switching and EMC storage, in a highly integrated package.

With high profile industry figures Par Botes (EMC) and Andre Smit (Cisco), the VCE Breakfast held at the Old Brewery attracted positive feedback from high profile clients and served to communicate L7’s commitment towards driving innovation. Matt Sullivan, L7 CEO, recognised the need for such an event earlier this year. “There is a lot of opportunity for VCE in Western Australia, and this event was pivotal to introduce the technology, display L7’s involvement and further demonstrate our relationship with these key vendors”, he said.

A number of prizes were drawn on the day including two flip cameras courtesy Cisco, wine accessories from EMC and some double passes to an upcoming arts event from one of L7’s sponsored accounts, WA Symphony Orchestra.
