L7 wins $5m Western Power Contract

16-Feb 2010

Western Australian based IT services and solution provider, L7 Solutions (L7), has continued its Managed Service growth with the announcement of a five year contract in consortium with ASG (ASZ) with electricity utility Western Power Corporation.

Valued at $5million, the engagement of L7 is part of a wider contract in consortium with ASG, who have the head agreement and provide data centre facilities and infrastructure services. Under the terms of the contract, L7 will deliver a range of services including network and voice over IP managed infrastructure services, containing provisions for two one-year extensions.

The newly announced deal forms part of an ongoing multi-sourcing strategy at Western Power, which is midway through an IT transformation program. The corporation’s Chief Information Officer, Leigh Sprlyan, said the consortium approach from ASG/L7 was impressive and stood up to significant Vendor competition.

L7 Managing Director, Matt Sullivan, is pleased with the result. “We are thrilled with the on-going relationship we hold with Western Power”, he said. “We look forward to working in partnership with ASG to deliver the solutions that will support their on-going platform strategy”.

The new contract adds to the current engagements between L7 and Western Power surrounding Enterprise Telephony and Strategic Wide Storage Solutions.
