L7 signs 3-Year Multimillion Dollar Contract with the Department of Health

1-Sep 2009

L7 Solutions has signed a 3 year contract to supply Cisco network infrastructure for the WA Country Health Service to facilitate an upgrade of rural and remote site infrastructure. Initial funding has been made available under the Commonwealth Government Department of Broadband, Communication and the Digital Economy, Clever Networks (Round 2) Program with matched State Government funding designed to enhance innovative health service delivery via broadband technology. This upgrade will provide a robust platform on which services can be built. The immediate phase of the project is a substantial contract in a year that has seen a decline in IT Infrastructure projects.

L7 Solutions was chosen via tender, with L7 selected through competitive pricing and displaying an outstanding local WA presence. The agreement will include all routing and switching components for WA Country Health Services statewide site network refresh. The refresh of the rural and remote site infrastructure is part of their overall program to create a scalable and intelligent network for all regional areas in WA.

This is a significant win for L7 and Cisco, competing against national and multinational Network Suppliers to win the contract. “We are delighted to be working with the WA Country Health Service on this contract and I am confident that over the 3 year term we will deliver beyond the mandate and add great value to WA Health. It is firmly in-line with our continuing focus on the WA market.” Matt Sullivan, CEO of L7 Solutions.
