L7 Signs 4-Year Multimillion Dollar Deal with Woodside

5-Nov 2007

PERTH, WA, 5 November – L7 Solutions announced today that it has signed its biggest contract to date, a four-year, multimillion dollar deal with Woodside for an extensive overhaul of their Local Area Network and IP Telephony infrastructure in Perth and North West regional areas.

Formed in 1954 and headquartered in Perth, Western Australia with over 3000 staff and listed on the Australian Stock Exchange, Woodside’s lease agreements for their existing equipment were coming to an end and replacement equipment was required. At the same time, the IP telephony system (Cisco Call Manager) needed to be upgraded to provide new features and handsets that supported gigabit Ethernet workstations.

L7 Solutions was chosen via a closed tender process, to become Woodside’s preferred networking and telephony partner for the next four years. The agreement includes the procurement and implementation of all networking and telephony projects and the supply and provision of all maintenance and support for the Woodside environment.

Technically, the initial projects involve:
• Upgrade the LAN in Perth
• Upgrade the LAN at the Karratha gas plant
• Upgrade the IP telephony environment in Perth

The deal is a significant milestone for L7 Solutions, who competed against an impressive group of national and multinational Cisco partners to win the contract. “We are extremely excited to be working with Woodside over the term of the contract and I feel confident we will deliver to and beyond their mandate” said Matt Sullivan, Managing Director of L7 Solutions.
